Perfect Timing.

Approach crouch, take-off, stabilisation in flight, the distance mark in sight, the landing by telemark. The great art of ski jumping is perfect timing. Matching the perfect moment to reach the ideal pressure and take-off point in order to achieve the perfect flight curve and a good distance.

Perfect Timing.

For the third time in a row, Junghans is the official timing partner of the FIS NORDIC WORLD SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS. The best athletes will meet in Planica Slovenia from 22 February to 05 March 2023 to compete in the disciplines of cross-country skiing, ski jumping and Nordic combined.
To celebrate this special sporting event, we have added two more limited edition special models to our popular 1972 series: the 1972 Competition FIS Edition Lemon and the 1972 Chronoscope Quarz Edition FIS Lemon. Both watches combine our passion for timekeeping and winter sports.

"Whether in cross-country skiing, ski jumping or the Nordic combined: the fight for medals in winter sports combines two things that are an integral part of the Junghans DNA: On the one hand, time plays a decisive role. On the other hand, winter sports are firmly anchored in tradition in our home region, the Black Forest," says Thomas Fiedler, Head of Marketing Junghans, describing the special significance of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships for the German watch manufacturer.

Karl Geiger

Our brand ambassador Karl Geiger will once again take part in the FIS NORDIC WORLD SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS in the discipline of ski jumping.
The talented ski jumper, who was honoured as "Ski Sportsman of the Year" in 2021, and the traditional Black Forest company Junghans share a passion for precision and timing.
With this commitment, Junghans is building on a long-standing connection with top-class sport. From the 1960s to the 1980s, the company accompanied numerous international competitions and set new technical standards in sports timing.
"Ski jumping is all about precision, dynamics and timing. It's only logical that Junghans watches inspire me," says Karl Geiger, explaining the cooperation.
